YIM TIN TSAI is named for its production of salt.

As The Salt & Light Preservation Centre Limited established a few years ago,  hope is brought to Yim Tin Tsai's salt industry. The group has been actively working on the conservation work. They reconstructed the salt field and the old buildings, gathered the heritage and organize eco-tour so that we can see those spots today.

 

It is not surprising that conserving Yim Tin Tsai is a tough work, mainly due to the limited budget. As a Hong Kong citizen, we can support the conservation work by donation, getting to know more about the place by joining the tour or self-visit, as well as spreading the message.
